Car Key Programming, how it works
Programming covers far more than the buttons on the fob. The transponder or smart module has to be authorised by the immobiliser, and on many modern vehicles that means secure gateway access and manufacturer security timers.
We programme remote central locking, keyless entry, push to start proximity keys, boot release and panic functions, then confirm the engine starts cleanly and the alarm behaves correctly.
Old or lost keys can be deleted from the vehicle's memory at the same time, which is worth doing on any used car where you do not know how many keys exist.
